Scientists successfully simulate wormhole
In science fiction - think films and TV shows like Interstellar and Star Trek - wormholes in the cosmos serve as portals through space and time for spacecraft to traverse unimaginable distances with ease.
If only it were that simple. Scientists have long pursued a deeper understanding of wormholes and now appear to be making progress.
Researchers announced that they forged two miniscule simulated black holes – extraordinarily dense celestial objects with gravity so powerful that not even light can escape – in a quantum computer and transmitted a message between them through what amounted to a tunnel in space-time.

Naoya Inoue undisputed bantamweight champ
Naoya Inoue became the world’s undisputed bantamweight champion with an 11th-round knockout of Britain’s Paul Butler on Dec. 13th.
The win at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena improved the 29-year-old’s record to 24-0 with 21 knockouts as he added Butler’s WBO title to his own WBA, WBC and IBF belts.
Inoue became the ninth undisputed champion since the four-belt era began in 2004, and the first Japanese to do so.
In what he said would be his final bout as a bantamweight before moving up to super bantamweight, Inoue dominated from the opening bell.

Crunch Time
「決定的な瞬間・局面、正念場」This year is crunch time, when everything we’ve prepared so far will be put to the test.
今年は、これまで準備してきたすべてのことが試される正念場だ。
Crunch には「バリバリ食べる音」という意味のほかに「危機」や「試練」という意味があります。そこにtimeがつくことで「危機的な時期＝大事な時期」となります。

とりあえずその議論は保留にしよう。それより緊急の問題があるから。
「（車などを）駐車する」という意味のparkから発展して、「考えるのをひとまずとめる＝保留する」という意味で使われるようになりました。

A wife with the 7 sense
A man phones his wife and asks her:
“Honey, I’ve been asked to go fishing in China with my boss for a week. This s a good opportunity for me to get the promotion. So could you please pack enough clothes for a week, set out my rod and fishing box. We’re leaving from office and I’ll swing by the house to pick my things. Oh, please pack my new blue silk pajamas!
The wife noticed that there’s something fishy about in her husband’s story but since she was a good wife she listened to her husband and did exactly as he told her.
After a week the husband returned home, looking a bit tired but happy to have done a good job. His wife immediately started asking about the weekend, how it was, if he’d caught any fish and so on.
The husband said:
“Yes, lots of salmon, blue gills and a few swordfish. But why didn’t you pack my blue silk pajamas?”
The wife said,
“I did… they’re in your fishing box.”

ある男性が自分の妻に電話をしました。

妻は、夫の話がすこし胡散臭いなと気づきましたが、良き妻として夫に言われたとおりにしました。
一週間後も旦那が帰ってくると、疲れた模様でしたが良い仕事が出来たようで嬉しそうでした。妻はすぐに、旅行がどうだったか、魚が釣れたかなど週末について質問しました。
旦那は言いました。
「もちろんさ。鮭がいっぱい捕れて、ブルーギル、メカジキも。でもなんで青いシルクのパジャマを入れてくれなかったの？」
妻は言いました。
「入れたわよ…あなたの釣り具箱に…」
